Given the announcement of a second wave of infections due to the implementation of the
fourth phase of economic reactivation, through an initiative of the Romero Foundation,
the Romero Group launches a Covid-19 prevention campaign, providing citizens with a free
million KN95 masks, along with the newspapers El Comercio, Perú21 and Trome."Behind a
mask is the most important thing", is the campaign that will deliver the million KN95
masks over four Sundays. The distribution will take place on Sundays, October 18 and 25,
together with the newspapers El Comercio and Perú 21, while on Sundays, November 1 and
8, the same will be done with the Trome newspaper."
In addition, readers will be able to find recommendations on Thursdays and Sundays in
the campaign newspapers, from October 15 to November 8, to continue taking care of
ourselves and avoid a second wave of infections.
The masks delivered during the four aforementioned dates have biosafety certificates
and have gone through effectiveness tests that guarantee their protective capacity. Each
mask has an individual imported sanitary package completely sealed and has been placed
in an additional cover that guarantees its protection and safety during the distribution
process.
International studies show that if an infected person wears a mask in front of
another healthy person, also wearing a mask, the possibility of contagion decreases by
95%. There are many models of masks, but one of the safest is the KN95. As its name
says, this mask blocks up to 95% of the droplets expelled by a person. Unlike other
models, it filters tiny droplets down to 0.3 microns, such as those from aerosols.“We
believe that this pandemic has severely affected families, businesses and employment.
For this reason, from the Romero Foundation, we are making this important effort to
avoid a second wave of infections that could lead us to a similar situation in the
future. It is of the utmost importance that we continue with the use of masks, social
distancing and hand washing," said Dionisio Romero Paoletti, president of the Romero
Foundation."To learn more about the initiatives that the Romero Foundation has been
