•With this new initiative, there will be a total of 4 million masks delivered to Peruvians.
Taking care of ourselves together as a big family takes on greater meaning today. For this reason, the
Romero Group and its foundation are launching the campaign 'Let's take care of ourselves together as a
family', through which it will once again deliver 2 million more KN95 masks through the country's main
newspapers. With them, 4 million masks will be delivered by the Romero Group since the start of the
pandemic.
Thus, to help protect Peruvian families and avoid more infections in this third wave, the Romero Group
and the newspapers of the El Comercio group join in this prevention initiative. For five dates, a KN95
mask will be delivered completely free to each reader. The masks will be distributed nationwide under
the following scheme: Saturday 29 with El Comercio and Perú21, Monday 31 with Gestión, Saturday 5 with
Perú21 and Ojo, Saturday 12 with Perú21 and Correo, and Saturday 19 with Trome and Correo.
Likewise, the Romero Group will deliver masks to various public and private institutions for the benefit
and care of the most vulnerable populations.
A big family called Peru
“Peru is a big family, full of fighting people. Millions of Peruvian families are entrepreneurs and live
from self-employment, and in this context, we see with concern how they suffer from this virus, in their
health and economy, paralyzing or delaying the development of small, medium and even large Peruvian
entrepreneurial businesses. companies in our country. From the family of companies that make up Grupo
Romero, we continue to accompany families in Peru in the midst of the pandemic through this campaign
that carries a very important prevention message: today more than ever we have to take care of ourselves
as one big family," said Dionisio Romero Paoletti, President of the Board of Directors of the Romero
Foundation."
KN95 masks, according to the medical community, have become the true shield of protection against
Covid-19, and are more effective against the much more contagious new variants of coronaviruses such as
Ómicron, because they filter 95% of the air we breathe, even many countries are implementing their
mandatory use, preferring them to others with less protection.
It should be noted that this donation of 2 million masks is not the only one that the Romero Foundation
has made. In October 2020, before the announcement of a second wave of infections, it launched this
campaign for the first time, delivering 1 million masks and, in May 2021, at the peak of the second
wave, it returned with another million of these.
Commitment to the families of Peru
In the context of the pandemic, the companies of the Romero Group, together with the Romero Foundation,
demonstrated their unwavering commitment to the country, bringing more than 70 million soles in
donations of oxygen, medicine, food, masks, economic bonuses, scholarships in courses virtual,
artificial respirators, aeromedical evacuations and biosecurity equipment for thousands of Peruvians on
the front line against Covid and vulnerable population.
